The Bob Joynt School was designed as a haven for those on the road that realize that they require additional skills in the vital areas of car control. Established in 1983 The Control Driving Skills program has been teaching the art of staying safe on the road
- We give drivers the
opportunity to learn and develop the new skills and reflexes required
for immediate response to vehicle loss of control "Vehicles don't lose control" - drivers
lose control .
- This never occurs without some type of warning to the
driver, loss of traction is a gradual, albeit alarming sensation.
- All
drivers should be able to predict and detect when they are beginning to
lose traction. Even the perfect driver will at some time
find themselves in a new, unfamiliar, terrifying situation that they
most likely did not initiate.
- Typically in these situations the driver
has approximately 1/4 of a second to "Sense - Identify- Predict - Decide - Execute" the appropriate actions to maintain control of their
vehicle.
- The inability to do this through lack of knowledge and skill results in unnecessary vehicle damage, human injury and death every day on our roads and highways.
Our Philosophy
Our goal at the Bob Joynt school is to create a higher class of driver. A driver that is more situationally aware and able to deal with loss of traction and hazardous conditions. It is our goal as a teacher, to give our students the skills they want and need to be more confident on the road. Bob Joynt's History of Driving Expertise
